Alt-Right Ascending

Trump hands his campaign to the 'alt-right' movement

Quote
The appointment of Breitbart news chief Stephen Bannon to head Donald Trump’s presidential campaign this week marks the official entree of the so-called “alt-right” into the Republicans’ top campaign.

For the Trump campaign, Mr. Bannon is an experienced political street fighter who is well-versed in the sharp-edged, populist message that served the candidate well in the Republican primaries.

Mr. Trump’s tapping of the alt-right could help solidify his base by letting Trump be Trump, and potentially propel him to hit Hillary Clinton’s weak points harder.

Two years ago, predicting this would have invited derisive laughter.  We live in a truly pivotal moment, actions now will resonate for generations.  Hail victory!

My word. Well, people have said they want an Alt Right Presidency. Even I thought that wasn't going to happen.

Now it seems as though Clinton thinks it might happen too:

Just noticed that Brett already covered this:

I never thought that this tiny smattering of blogs in an obscure corner of the Internet would one day become central to a presidential race.

The Daily Caller has had several articles in the last few days on the Alt-Right.

It has gone large because there was a need for it. The mainstream right failed to achieve anything and showed it was unwilling to fight. It has now been replaced.

This has not just widened the Overton window, but has mainstreamed ideas simply because they are suppressed by the Cathedral.

Thus begins the battle for the Alt Right to define itself...

Cuckservatives are jumping from the Trump tower in droves.

On the surface, this looks bad--Trump is losing support from his own party leaders!  But the reason I link to those facebook posts is for the comments: nearly all express opposition, anger, and rejection of the cuck.  If Trump wins (and perhaps even if he doesn't), the Republican party may end up in much better condition exactly because all these cucks have self-deported from their party; they have self-purged.

Trump is responding well:

Tremendous support (except for some Republican "leadership"). Thank you.

True.  Trump became a symbol of pre-existing forces.

Thus begins the battle for the Alt Right to define itself...

Two definitions we should steer away from are that which makes the Alt Right solely about race, and that which makes the Alt Right not at all about race (eg Daily Stormer), or a slight step up from that, only about race to the extent of opposing leftist identity politics (eg Milo).
