Staring down the barrels of collapse
« on: November 23, 2016, 11:59:44 AM »
The theme that connects the projects is survival in a really dark world. Its a weird Hobbesian perspective about survival in a world that's out to crush you economically and mentally ; a world that wants to enslave you to your job, girlfriend, government, and church. All the bands I was in since Dawning are essentially about the dawn of a new Dark Age. Dawning and Pale Existence reflected the mystical side of descent. While Nothing Left and NGOP are more of the tangible side of societal decay.

This new Dark Age globally is something we have seen unfolding before our very eyes, as so much of the globe is currently descending into chaos and tyranny. Whether its in the Middle East with ISIS, and the Sauds pounding Yemen, or in the liberal ghettos of America with weird social justice riots every time you watch the news: dis-order and decay are taking precedent over renewal and advancement. My bands have been attempts to look at reality without a rosy lens, and free of any strict traditional ideology.

It actually wouldn't make sense spending tons of money to produce music about survival. That's like wearing really expensive designer jeans with all the holes in the knees tailored in. Survival is a mental thing that involves mind over matter. In reality you can build a clay shelter with a simple shovel and survive. Most of what society wants us to spend on is a result of being bred us as consumer/workers.

It seems to me this point is missed by many if not most Alt Right sources: our civilization is in a state of internal decline. This cannot be fixed with political action alone, but action in parallel across politics, culture and knowledge. Those can reinforce each other as well.

The real problem is that each member of any group automatically assumes it knows what it is talking about.
People generally don't know shit, and this is clearly visible in any and all dealings with people.
Why is this so?
Intellect, great or small, capable or incapable. The brain is a self-defeating doomsday machine, and one that the more one comes to exalt it, the more damage it does.

Let's see: do you agree or disagree with these statements?
Does your agreement or disagreement matter?
Is Reality affected in any way by your agreement or disagreement?

People have come to the point of living in separate little ego-realities that are completely contingent upon what they agree and disagree with.
Small wonder a crow sees people as unhinged and dangerous lunatics.
Not to mention thicker than two short planks.

They don't really miss it at all as far as I am concerned. They don't want anything real. The further up the intelligence latter you go, the more they will see this in others but never themselves. They are all social justice warriors, they are just tired of the byproducts of social justice. They want to have their cake, eat it to, and go to sleep with it snugly in their arms so that they can dream about eating cake. They want more of the same that actually works. If we don't find a way to convince them to let in their proper oppressors (there is never freedom, only turning of tables) then we will have to hope enough of our own best survive the collapse long enough to breed into defensible numbers. If not, everything we were once capable of will be gone in one mass raping and killing field.
