That krautrock documentary really got me thinking about another forum I had been on that had a few huge music threads. I'll be posting some music that strikes my fancy and it would be awesome to see some of your guys tastes.

I'm streaming my Bruckner channel on last.fm, which seems to work fairly well with classical.

Since no one has mentioned it, prog rock:

  • King Crimson -- In the Court of the Crimson King, Red, Starless and Bible Black
  • Rush -- 2112, Farewell to Kings, Hemispheres
  • Yes -- Fragile, Close to the Edge
  • Genesis -- Selling England by the Pound

Hard rock
  • Rainbow -- Rising
  • Scorpions -- Virgin Killer
  • Michael Schenker Group -- self-titled (1980)

First Motorhead album:

Motorhead - Motorhead

Don't forget Overkill! That and Bomber, released in the same year, are their best. Lemmy is about as real as it gets.
